Enjoy Your $3,000 Electric Bill ş I shared this in the comments on another thread and people seemed to like it, so here goes: My best friend found out that not only was her husband cheating on her, but the "business trip" he was supposedly on was actually a cruise with another woman. The woman had shared pics of her and the husband boarding the ship on Facebook, and one of her friends instantly recognized the husband.

For those too young to know, those things eat up electricity like you wouldn't believe. She turned her oven and every burner on, 5 1500 watt heaters on high, and added a hairdryer for good measure. She left all water and heaters running for 9 straight days.

Anyway, he sees her note and of course begs for forgiveness, even going as far as to confess on Facebook for everyone to read. She stayed seemingly optimistic that they'd get back together (her friends all knew she was done) publicly, and let the bozo spend money he didn't have on flowers, jewelry/etc. She was at my house when he calls her up screaming about the electric/water bill. She laughed l

Font - EDIT: For the geniuses in the comments: The story is true. The house was approximately 2 years old and 2000 square feet in an Indianapolis subdivision. Also, some of you clearly have ZERO CLUE what a terrible heat source electric heaters are. You put 5 in a house on a cold night, and you still have a cold house. I converted my house from gas to a wood burning stove 3 years ago, and during the transition thought I could get by on electric heaters. Nope. Had to actually use my

Font - OK_Royal6055 OP - 6 hr. ago. edited 6 hr. ago There was no danger of a fire. Now that I think about it I'm sure she had the windows open. She's too smart to risk otherwise, and she wanted that bill to be an out of nowhere kick in the b ". I'll remove that part if it lets me. Honestly should have occurred to me before I made that 110⁰ comment. Also it was February in Indiana. Just a few open doors probably got it cool in under an hour.

Font - I'd bet my life she had the windows open since she didn't get a hotel. It did let me fix it. Thank you. And I'll ask her in a few hours if there's anything else I missed. It's too early to bug her here right now. 5:30am. Also, she remarried and is very happy today. 127 Reply Share

Font - Boogerbiter . 7 hr. ago Here in the US she'd have been on the hook for the bill as well. I also wonder how she didn't blow a fuse with all that going. 58 Reply Share No1_Nozits_Me. 7 hr. ago Only if her name was also on the account, but I've never heard of any utilities being under more than one name.

Reply Share 37 OceansAndRoses . 5 hr. ago Same, I'm thinking what did the planet do to you that you want to waste so many precious resources. There are better ways to waste thousands of dollars: massage, hair, nails, new clothing, jewelry or even a pet. What they did, pure waste.

Font - . Range-Shoddy+2 · 3 hr. ago Wow what a waste of water. And electricity. She really couldn't find any other way to be petty than that? Cheating is never okay but I don't blame the husband for being over her if that's typical behavior. 41↓ Reply Share
